Ibn Battuta was separted from his companions because of this unexpected attack. When he was alone, he was robbed by 40 Hindu revels this time. Everything was robbed from him expect his shirts, pants, and cloak. The rebels locked him up was aboout to excute him, but fourtunately, Ibn Battuta convinced the rebels to let him go. Ibn Battuta survived the desert for 8 days. He had survived with no food, water, and supplies. A brother of a holy man Ibn Battuta had meet saved him and took him to the village. There he met with the rest of his companions and traveled on. At the port of Calicut, Ibn Battuta wanted to pray before he departed. While he did so, a ship departed first. The ship was wrecked. Hearing that news, Ibn Battuta prayed to god for letting him live.
